Our Story

From a Humble Beginning

 From a Humble Beginning
It all started back in January 17, 1940, when Jim Kewt opened the doors of the first Hitching Post on Warsaw Avenue in Price Hill. Jim had a passion for trying new things, and little did he know his deep-fried chicken recipe would become the heart of our restaurant. Back then, there were no shortcuts to success—just hard work and the love of serving good food to our community. Midwest's very first chicken carryout was born right here. We’ve grown into something truly special.
A Family Affair

A Family Affair

For over 80 years, Hitching Post has been more than just a restaurant. We’ve been a family-owned and operated business, now run by the Beck family since 1966. We take pride in continuing Jim’s legacy, with four generations of Becks rolling up their sleeves and keeping the tradition alive. Today, Kevin, Brian, and Rob lead the way, making sure each guest feels at home when they walk through our doors.
